Jam Packaging Machine | Stand-up Pouch for Fruit Jam, Marmalade & Chocolate Spread

Fruit jam, marmalade, chocolate spread, and nutella-style pastes are challenging to pack into stand-up pouches — mostly because of viscosity, chunk content, and the need for clean nozzles. Our premade pouch filling machine is built for jams and pastes up to 400,000 cP.

The core component is the filling system. We offer three options depending on your jam type:

Piston filler for chunky jams (strawberry with fruit pieces)

Rotary lobe pump for smooth jams (seedless raspberry)

Peristaltic pump for very abrasive pastes (peanut butter)

All filling nozzles are non-drip and heated if needed (for chocolate spreads or honey). The nozzle lifts slowly during filling to prevent splashing or foaming.

Jam packaging typically uses:

Stand-up pouches with spouts (for squeeze application)

Stand-up pouches with tear-off corners (standard pouches)

Flat pouches for single-serving jam packs

Zipper pouches (less common for jam but possible)

Key jam-specific features:

Bottom-up filling to eliminate air pockets

Heated hopper and nozzle for high-fat spreads

Automatic purge after each fill to prevent stringing

Positive shutoff nozzle for clean changeover

Speed: 15–30 pouches per minute for 100g–500g jam pouches. Piston fillers offer the best accuracy (±1g for 250g jam). All product-contact parts are quick-release for daily cleaning — essential for jam with sugar and fruit residue.

For chocolate spreads and products with cocoa butter, we include a heating jacket on the hopper and nozzle. This keeps the product flowing without scorching.

We recommend a sample test: send us 2L of your jam/spread and 20 empty pouches. We'll record the full filling and sealing process and send you the video with fill weight data.
